to 8 pm cdt this evening...
* event...the pressure gradient will tighten today across the
southern plains ahead of an area of low pressure over southern
kansas and northwest oklahoma along the dryline. this will
result in south winds increasing to 15 to 25 mph with gusts to
30 mph from late morning through early evening.
* timing...south winds will increase by late morning and persist
through the afternoon...before diminishing early this evening
shortly after sunset.
* impact...strong winds will produce a rough chop and potentially
hazardous boating conditions on area lakes.
