...the flood warning continues for the following rivers in florida...
st mary's river at macclenny affecting baker...nassau and charlton
precautionary/preparedness actions...
all persons with interest along the river should monitor the latest
forecasts...and be prepared to take necessary precautions to protect
life and property. do not drive cars through flooded areas. if you
see flood waters...remember to turn around and do not drown.

...flood warning extended until saturday afternoon...the flood
warning continues for
the st mary's river at macclenny.
* until saturday afternoon...or until the warning is cancelled.
* at 9:45 am wednesday the stage was 12.2 feet.
* minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* 12.0 feet...this will cause minor flooding of low lying
areas and timber lands.

the national weather service in lake charles has issued an
* urban and small stream flood advisory for...
southern hardin county in southeast texas...
this includes the city of sour lake...
northwestern jefferson county in southeast texas...
northwestern orange county in southeast texas...
* until 500 pm cdt
* at 300 pm cdt...doppler radar indicated a cluster of thunderstorms
with heavy rainfall extending from batson east across sour
lake...bevil oaks...northern beaumont to pine forest. radar
indicates rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches have fallen across
portions of the area and an additional 1 to 2 inches will be
possible. in addition...very high rainfall rates can be
expected...leading to ponding of water on roadways and minor
flooding of low lying areas.
precautionary/preparedness actions...
most flood deaths occur in automobiles. never drive your vehicle into
areas where the water covers the roadway. flood waters are usually
deeper than they appear. just one foot of flowing water is powerful
enough to sweep vehicles off the road. when encountering flooded
roads make the smart choice...turn around...dont drown.
