  george county in southeastern mississippi...
  greene county in southeastern mississippi...
  perry county in southeastern mississippi...
  stone county in southeastern mississippi...
  eastern wayne county in southeastern mississippi...

* until 245 am cdt thursday.

* at 841 pm cdt, doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the 
  warned area. between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. flash 
  flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  hazard...flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

  impact...flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
           highways, streets and underpasses as well as other
           drainage and low lying areas.

* some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  jackson, waynesboro, wiggins, citronelle, lucedale, chatom, 
  richton, leakesville, chunchula, wagarville, saint stephens, 
  leroy, clara, perkinston, mchenry, deer park, gulfcrest, tibbie, 
  beaumont and calvert.

additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are possible in the 
warned area.

precautionary/preparedness actions...

turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.
