...areas of dense fog developing once again tonight...

moist ground, light winds, and limited cloud cover have once
again resulted in the development of dense fog across the north
carolina foothills and piedmont as well as into adjacent areas of
southside virginia. once again, there is the potential for fog to
become more widespread later in the night, with little improvement
expected before daybreak. if so, a dense fog advisory will become
necessary later this evening or tonight.

if you plan to travel overnight into early tuesday morning, be
prepared for areas of dense fog. reduce speed, use low beam
headlights, and allow extra distance between you and the vehicle
in front of you. be prepared for rapid fluctuations in visibility
from valleys to ridge tops and urban to rural areas.

stay tuned to noaa weather radio or commercial radio and
television for the latest weather information.
