...small craft advisory in effect from 10 pm this evening to 8 am
the national weather service in wakefield has issued a small
craft advisory...which is in effect from 10 pm this evening to
8 am edt thursday.
* winds: becoming northwest 25 to 30 knots with gusts up to 33
knots after midnight tonight through wednesday. an occasional
gust to 35 knot is possible.
* seas: building to 5 to 7 feet late tonight through wednesday.
a small craft advisory means wind speeds of 25 to 33 knots and/or
seas of 5 feet or greater over the coastal waters are expected to
produce hazardous boating conditions to small craft.
inexperienced mariners...especially those operating smaller
vessels...should avoid navigating in these conditions.
mariners should pay close attention to the marine forecast...and
consider wind and sea conditions in planning.

* locations...atlantic coastal waters from delaware up to sandy
* winds...northwest 20 to 25 kt with gusts up to 35 kt.
* seas...3 to 6 feet.
* timing...gale conditions are expected to continue through
a gale warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or
occurring. operating a vessel in gale conditions requires
experience and properly equipped vessels. it is highly
recommended that mariners without the proper experience seek safe
harbor prior to the onset of gale conditions.
