...small craft advisory in effect from noon to 6 pm edt
wednesday...
...gale warning in effect from 6 pm wednesday to 6 am edt
friday...

the national weather service in mount holly has issued a gale
warning, which is in effect from 6 pm wednesday to 6 am edt
friday. a small craft advisory has also been issued. this small
craft advisory is in effect from noon to 6 pm edt wednesday. the
gale watch is no longer in effect.

* winds and seas...southeast winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to
25 kt wednesday afternoon. winds shift to the west wednesday
night and increase to 25 to 30 kt with gusts up to 45 kt. seas 3
  to 5 feet.

precautionary/preparedness actions...

a gale warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or
occurring. operating a vessel in gale conditions requires
experience and properly equipped vessels. it is highly
recommended that mariners without the proper experience seek safe
harbor prior to the onset of gale conditions.

a small craft advisory means that wind speeds of 25 to 33 knots
are expected to produce hazardous wave conditions to small craft.
inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller
vessels should avoid navigating in these conditions.
