...elevated fire weather potential friday...

dry conditions persist across southern new england with the
overall recent lack of precipitation. during friday, northwest
winds will gust to 20 miles per hour, up to 25 miles per hour.
these winds will combine with warmer than normal temperatures in
the 60s and low 70s, and a dry airmass, to yield minimum relative
humidity values of 30 to 40 percent. this will lead to an elevated
fire weather potential during the day time tomorrow.

...enhanced fire danger friday...

a dry air mass will combine with increasing northwesterly winds
to create conditions conducive for fire spread on friday. relative
humidity is expected to decrease to 30 to 35 percent during this
time, with winds gusting 20 to 25 mph. these conditions would
likely aid fire spread if ignition occurs.
