wisconsin late tonight through tuesday night...
.a low pressure system will move across the upper midwest tonight
through wednesday and bring accumulating snow to portions of the
northland. patchy drizzle or flurries this evening will give way
to mainly snow overnight. an area of snow was lifting northwest
and will move into price county around 9 pm...then continue across
the rest of northern wisconsin overnight. the snow will diminish
in intensity tuesday night. the axis of greatest snowfall
accumulations...3 to 6 inches...is expected over portions of
northwest wisconsin. lesser snowfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are
expected over the arrowhead and along the i-35 corridor. stay
updated on the latest information.

* location...portions of northwest wisconsin generally along and
east of a line from hayward through iron river.
* timing...snow will develop from southern price county into the
south shore region after 9 pm. the heaviest snow will occur between
8 am and 2 pm...but last longer along the south shore where some
lake enhancement will occur.
* snow accumulations...3 to 5 inches...with some locally higher
amounts around 6 inches possible in the higher terrain of
bayfield... ashland and iron counties.
* impacts...untreated roads will become snow covered and
slippery tonight into tuesday.

chippewa counties in west central...from midnight tonight until 6

commute along with any holiday travelers driving through west
central wisconsin. the snow is expected to be a wetter type of
