a high pressure ridge averaging 30.30 inches builds from the west
this morning and then exits slowly eastward from the lake erie
region through tuesday night, when a warm front should sweep
northeastward across the lake. on wednesday, a very weak cold
front should sweep eastward across lake erie and be followed by a
narrow ridge averaging 30.00 inches and building from the upper
midwest. as the ridge exits eastward wednesday night, a warm front
will sweep northward across lake erie. on thursday through
thursday night, a low of 29.00 inches should wobble eastward
across the northern great lakes region and then wobble northeastward
to west-central quebec. this low track should allow a strong cold
front to sweep eastward across lake erie thursday night. behind
the front, a trough averaging 29.90 inches should linger over lake
erie on friday as a ridge attempts to build from the upper
midwest.
