waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which
is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the
average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will
occasionally be encountered.

.synopsis...

low pressure of 29.6 inches off the coast of maine will continue
east as high pressure of 30.5 inches in the northern plains
advects toward michigan. the pressure gradient is weaken between
these two systems which will bring an end to the gusty winds.
winds will continue to diminish through this afternoon as the high
builds in. light and variable winds are expected this evening into
tonight as the high moves overhead. 

as this high exits tuesday and a weak front passes, winds may 
pick up a bit from the south. largely south winds remain through
wednesday, as a broad low pressure around29.8 inches approaches 
from the west. chances for precipitation on tuesday and again on 
wednesday though primarily for northern parts of the lake.
