an upper level low drops south into northern california wednesday
into thursday. this will bring a chance of showers and
thunderstorms over all of interior northern california, especially
to the mountains. the low shifts into southern california on
friday showers expected to decrease over northern california.
precipitation is somewhat limited with this system, so amounts
are generally expected to be less than half an inch, and will be
variable due to convective nature of showers. snow levels will be
around 5500 ft, with locally lower levels possible in heavier
showers. snow accumulations up to 6 inches possible.
nws will continue to provide updates as the situation develops.
