.a tight pressure gradient ahead of an approaching cold front is
beginning to generate gusty south to southwest winds on lake
michigan. these winds will strengthen and are expected to reach
gale force and support high waves on lake michigan sunday. the
cold front will pass sunday afternoon...after which winds will
veer to the west and northwest and begin to diminish.

diminish sunday afternoon and evening.
* waves...building to 4 to 7 ft sunday morning. waves will begin
to diminish sunday evening. some localized areas near the open
waters east of washington island may see isolated higher waves.
