...areas of fog tonight...

areas of fog will continue this evening, at times becoming locally
dense. visibilities will be greatly reduced within the fog, at
times to less than a quarter of a mile. if driving tonight be
prepared for rapid changes in visibility, slowdown and allow extra
space between you and the vehicle in front.

fog will be prevalent along the southern lake ontario shoreline,
expanding southward across the new york state thruway at times.
this fog will continue across the lake plain region through monday

...dense fog advisory remains in effect until 10 am est monday...


 * widespread fog, much of it dense, will persist this evening
   throughout southeastern michigan.

 * northeast winds 5 mph or less.


 * locations impacted by dense fog will have surface visibilities of
   less than one quarter mile to near zero at times. highly variable
   visibilities can be expected.


precautionary/preparedness actions... 

 * motorists are urged to use caution and account for variable
   driving conditions by slowing down and allowing extra time.
   travel will become increasingly dangerous within areas of dense
   fog as night falls.
