...light snow accumulations for the cascade passes tuesday and

a series of colder storms will likely result in light
accumulating for the cascade mountain passes tuesday and wednesday.
a cold front will move across southwest washington and northwest
oregon monday...and snow levels will lower from around 7000 feet
monday morning to around 3500 feet early tuesday morning. the snow
levels will lower another 500 feet...down to around 3000
tuesday afternoon. expect only light and spotty snow
accumulations for the passes on tuesday...with local accumulations
of 1 to 2 inches.

the cooler air will remain over the cascades and cascade
foothills tuesday night into wednesday as another front produces
additional precipitation across the region. this will result in a
brief period of heavier snow late tuesday night and
wednesday...with possibly another 1 to 3 inches of snow for the
cascade passes. some light snow showers will linger wednesday
afternoon before the snow levels rise in response to a warm front
expected to move across the area wednesday night into thursday.

snow may cause some travel difficulties across the cascade passes
tuesday and wednesday.
