southwest lower michigan...
muskegon river near croton affecting newaygo county
little muskegon river above morley affecting mecosta county
...the flood advisory continues for the following rivers in southwest
lower michigan...
chippewa river below mt pleasant affecting isabella county
...the national weather service in grand rapids has issued a flood
advisory for the following rivers in southwest lower michigan...
white river above whitehall affecting muskegon county
.the current weather is dominated by a developing ridge and high
pressure. this pattern will continue to be dry for the next several
days. the following forecast is based on observed and forecast 24
hour precipitation.
precautionary/preparedness actions...
safety message...caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
a flood advisory means minor flooding is possible and rivers are
forecast to exceed bankfull. if you are in the advisory area remain
alert to possible flooding... or the possibility of the advisory
being upgraded to a warning. report observed flooding to local
emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this
information on to the national weather service.

* until saturday evening.
* at 09 am friday the stage was 4.8 feet.
* bankfull stage is 5.0 feet.
* flood stage is 6.0 feet.
* forecast...the river will rise to near 5.1 feet by after midnight
tonight.
* impact...at 5.0 feet...river is bankfull. overflow begins in low
lying areas

illinois river at havana affecting cass...fulton and mason counties.
illinois river at beardstown affecting brown...cass...morgan and
schuyler counties.
.a slow fall will continue along the illinois river through next
week. at the current rate...flooding around havana is expected
to subside by wednesday...but will continue at beardstown for
the foreseeable future.
the following forecasts are based on observed precipitation...soil
moisture conditions...and forecast precipitation.
precautionary/preparedness actions...
if you encounter a flooded roadway...turn around and find an
alternate route. turn around...don/t drown.

union...cape girardeau...perry and scott counties
.the river was near crest...which is expected to be at 32.9 feet early
saturday. the river will slowly fall the rest of the weekend...dropping
below flood stage late sunday.
precautionary/preparedness actions...

never drive cars...trucks or sport utility vehicles through flooded
areas. the water may be too deep to allow safe passage. never allow
children to play in or near flood waters. stay tuned to noaa weather
