waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which
is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the
average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will
occasionally be encountered.

.synopsis...high pressure of 30.4 inches over the ohio valley 
will move to the mid-atlantic coast this evening. low pressure of
29.5 inches will move from the high plains to the northern lakes 
by evening. this low will drag a cold front across central lake 
michigan by early monday. a series of weaker low pressure systems 
will move along the cold front through tuesday before the cold 
front drifts off to the southeast tuesday night. strong high 
pressure of 30.7 inches will build in behind the front wednesday, 
and weaker ridging will linger across the western lakes thursday.
