for waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on lake michigan
.synopsis...a broad weak area of low pressure of 29.7 inches was
centered over iowa early this morning. a ridge of high pressure
was from northern manitoba to the northern great plains. the low
will move slowly east to the lower great lakes by thursday
morning...while the ridge builds into the upper mississippi
valley. this will cause gale force north winds to develop over
lake michigan late tonight and thursday. by friday the low will
move to the east coast while high pressure of 30.4 inches settles
over lake michigan. the high will then be nearly stationary over
the great lakes through the weekend.
