...rapid onset of small craft conditions expected on saginaw bay
late this afternoon...

.high pressure remains in place across but will slowly get pushed 
southward by a weakening cold front dropping through the region 
today and tonight. the front will do little more than shift winds to 
the north and produce some clouds as it passes. winds will turn to 
the east sunday night into monday behind this front. gusts will once 
again increase and range between 20 and 25 knots on monday, mainly 
over far northern lake huron.

the national weather service in detroit/pontiac has issued a
small craft advisory...which is in effect from 2 pm this
afternoon to 10 pm edt this evening. 

* wind and waves: during the small craft advisory...expect 
  sustained winds up to 19 knots from the northeast with gusts 
  up to 21 knots. the largest expected significant waves will 
  be 3 feet with a potential maximum wave height of 4 feet. 

* timing: the maximum winds are expected around 7 pm edt sunday 
  with the largest waves expected around 8 pm edt sunday.
