1. Why did I receive the Duplicate Login message?

Reminders:
1. Please remember that accounts are designed for use by the account holder only. By agreeing to membership, members agree that they will use their account for their own use only, and that they will not give their password out to anyone else. Memberships are meant for one person only.
2. Please also remember to LOG OFF after each session.
3. Change your password frequently from your "myAccount" page, and do not tell it to anyone.
4. *Always* keep your email address up to date from your "MyAccount" page.

If these reminders are followed, there should be no problem with Duplicate Login errors. If you log in at work and at home, you could theoretically leave work without logging off and get home and find that you're logged on "somewhere else". This would only happen if you live within 20 minutes of where you work (that's lucky!). Your solution in this situation: log off when you leave work, or drive around the block a few extra times.

2. What happens at the end of my free FX Trial?

At the end of your free FX Trial, you have the option to upgrade to FX, Wireless Web, or Wind Pager membership. If you do not wish to upgrade, you can opt to continue as a Free member. As a Free member, you still have access to all of our Free member services, which include:

> Access to 500+ public wind sensors
> Custom homepage (MyWeather, myiW, or myiK)
> Ability to read and post Classified ads
> Ability to participate in our Discussion Forum, Message Center, and more

Free members do not have access to:
> Our exclusive FX-only wind sensors
> Wind Alert email system
> Wind Forecasting
> Premium Weather tools

If you change your mind, you can always upgrade later. We appreciate your membership!

3. What are all those FX stamps on the wind snapshot maps?

There are two reasons why a user may see the "FX" stamps at the wind sensor locations on the snapshot maps: (1) if a paid member is browsing but not logged in to the website, they will see the FX stamps; (2) if a Free member or Anonymous user is browsing the website (whether they are logged in or not), they will see the FX stamps.

If you are a paid member, just log in! If you are a Free member, please note that the "FX" stamps represent wind sensors that are restricted to paid members only. If you would like to try out our FX (internet) Membership, simply sign up for a Free membership -- and you will receive a 10-day free trial of FX services. Click here to get your Free membership

4. I'm a Free member, why can't I get all the wind sensors?

Our prime wind sensors are accessible by paid members only. To access them, you must upgrade to: FX (internet) membership, Wireless Web (internet + wireless web) membership, or Wind Pager (internet + wireless web + wind pager) membership.

Free members have access to 500+ sensors reporting from publicly available sources (NWS, NOAA, buoy readings, airports, etc.)

5. Why pay for an FX membership when I can get general wind information for free?

Our Free membership does NOT include access to our exclusive network of real-time wind sensors. To access this private network of sensors (the PREMIUM sensors), located strategically at windy spots around the country, you'll need an FX, Wireless Web, or Wind Pager membership. Also, our paid memberships include many more premium features:

1) Forecasting - Our professional meteorologists issue forecasts every day and with precision accuracy!
2) Custom Wind Alerts - Send Wind Alerts to your email address when your favorite sensors reach your chosen threshold(s).
3) Personal Homepage (MyWeather, myiW, or myiK) - Get out on the water fast! Customize your home page to have just the wind data that you want most -- for quick reference.

We think you'll agree that the cost for FX membership is well worth it and quite reasonable compared to the other expenses associated with chasing the wind...

6. I'm a Free member, why can't I receive wind forecasts?

The wind forecasts are limited to FX, Wireless Web, and Wind Pager members only. For the low cost of FX membership, you can have full access to the best forecasting available anywhere, our private network of prime wind sensors, custom Wind Alerts, and more!

All FX, Wireless Web, and Wind Pager members get online access to ALL REGIONS in the U.S.A., Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. You are not limited to wind data for one Region.

Our memberships renew automatically unless the member contacts us to terminate prior to the renewal date. To terminate, you must contact us using Our Contact Us feature or by calling us at 800-946-3225. The pre-paid annual fee for the first year of membership is non-refundable. Note that memberships can only be paid by credit / debit card.

The full Terms and Conditions (a link to which appears at the bottom of each page on our website) apply to all memberships and should be reviewed by all members and by all users.

9. How does the Wendy 800# Voice service work?

You can get 800# access to wind reports and forecasts with our Wendy 800# Voice service. To access Wendy, you must have a Wendy 800# Voice membership, or an FX, Wireless Web, or Wind Pager membership with Wendy 800# Voice access added-on to the base membership.

Wendy service can be added-on to FX, Wireless Web, or Wind Pager membership with a one-time PIN set-up fee. Wendy airtime is billed at $0.49 per minute, for all members. Click here for pricing information.

10. What are the costs and conditions of Wind Pager membership, and how does membership terminate?

ANNUAL PLAN
The Annual Plan is the best way to go for Wind Pager membership. It is the most cost-effective plan. You get wind, forecast, swell, and tide data in the palm of your hand for the entire season, and for the entire year - not just for a few select months. Furthermore, in most regions, snow information is often available as an occasional bonus during the winter.

Another reason to go on the Annual plan is that you avoid the need to ship the Wind Pager back to us to terminate your membership each year. And, you avoid needing to have a new Wind Pager shipped out to you to begin service each year. Just keep it year-round, and use it as much or as little as you like! Avoiding the Activation Fee (each time a Monthly Plan is activated or re-activated), and avoiding the higher overall costs of the "no commitment" Monthly Plan are additional benefits of the Annual Plan.

MONTHLY (NO COMMITMENT) PLAN
Under the Monthly Plan there is no commitment and no minimum contract length. The Monthly Plan can only be paid for by Credit / Debit / ATM card (ie: generally any card that has a VISA, Mastercard, AMEX, or Discover logo on it).

Note that there is a Refundable Pager Deposit billed upon the start of Wind Pager membership on all Plans. This deposit is charged as security to cover the specific Wind Pager that is shipped out to the member to use during their membership. This deposit will be returned to the member's account when that specific Wind Pager is returned to our offices to terminate the Wind Pager membership.

Wind Pager membership automatically renews unless the Wind Pager is returned to our offices prior to the renewal date. Membership is terminated upon receipt of the Wind Pager along with a note to terminate service. The Wind Pager must be returned in a padded envelope and the member must obtain a UPS, USPS, or FedEX tracking number -- so the shipment can be tracked in case it is lost. Please ship all pager returns to Attn: Pager Dept., WeatherFlow, Inc., 1982 SR 44 Box 360, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168.


No Bank, ATM, Debit, or Credit cards? - If you do not have any bank cards, it is possible to sign up for the Annual Pre-Pay Wind Pager membership. The procedure is to pre-pay the full amount by check. Once the check is received, membership can be started, and a Wind Pager can be shipped out. We encourage all members to use bank cards, however, to simply and speed up the process considerably. If you still would like to pay by check, however, first step is to contact us to verify the address and the amount to send: you may contact us through our Contact Us link, or by calling 800-946-3225.

An Activation Fee will be applied each time a Monthly Plan Wind Pager membership is activated, or re-activated after termination. "Activation" refers to the activation of the Monthly Plan. The Activation Fee is waived for Annual Plan 1-year contract memberships.

A Refundable Pager Deposit applies when a customer activates any Wind Pager membership for the first time (on any of the Annual or Monthly Plans), or when a customer re-starts after having terminated service. The Refundable Pager Deposit applies to each pager that is assigned and shipped out to a member. The Refundable Pager Deposit will be returned to the member's account when that precise Wind Pager is returned to our offices in order to terminate the Wind Pager membership.

11. How do I terminate my FX or Wireless Web membership?

To terminate your Wind Pager membership, see the FAQ section regarding terminating Wind Pager membership. To terminate FX or Wireless Web membership, please Click here to contact us. Please provide us with your full name, email address, phone numbers, and username.

Members must contact us prior to their billing renewal date in order to avoid getting billed on their billing renewal date. Once charged, payments are generally non-refundable. Please note that you may also contact us at 800-946-3225. To keep your account information updated and to view your membership history, you may click on the "MyAccount" link visible at the top of the webpage after logging in. (From there, you may click on the links on the left nav.)

12. How do I change my Username?

We do not generally give the option to change one's username, however, if it is quite important to you, click here to contact us. Include five usernames that you'd be willing to have (in order of your preference), and we can attempt to change your username. If a Username is already taken, then we'll go to your next choice, and so on.

13. My password changed due to duplicate logins?

The system will automatically change a member's password if the account is experiencing several duplicate logins. To avoid duplicate logins, be sure to LOG OFF after each session, and do not allow anyone else to use your password. Please know that each person's membership is meant to be used by that one person only.

A duplicate login occurs when a membership is used at the same time from two seperate computers at two different IP addresses. After a few duplicate logins, the system will randomly generate a new password and email it to the member's email address on record.

Important: be sure to *always* keep your email address up-to-date by using the update email address link on the left nav after clicking on "MyAccount".
