Our first stations went online April 1987 so some extremely long data sets are available. This data has proved useful in a variety of applications ranging from Oil Spill Management, Search & Rescue, Toxic Plume Crisis Management, Olympic Sailing Teams, America’s Cup Syndicates, Wind Energy, and Wind Damage Suits.
Some of our clients include: · U.S. Olympic Yachting Committee

The Data Set: The gust, average, lull, and direction for each five minute period, 24 hours a day, are archived; air and water temperature, pressure, RH, and wave height are recorded at half hour intervals. The four most popular ways or utilizing this data are:
· Graphs similar to the Graphs from Yesterday for a specific day/event (see sample below)
· Hourly vectors, both (U, V) and (r, theta), along with standard deviations
· Text (ASCII) output of each five-minute record · METAR formatted output of five-minute records or hourly vectors
Standards, Resolution, Data Integrity:
· Wind instruments installed and calibrated to 10m standard
· Wind speed in mph, 0.5mph in year 2000 and thereafter
· Wind direction True North to 22.5 degrees with some stations at 1.0 degree resolution
· Air and Water temperature 0.3C
· Barometric Pressure 0.5mb
· Data integrity typically better than 98% (i.e. archive contains 98% of the 8,928 samples/month)
