Im heading off on Friday for Lake Arenal. Did the same trip last year - rent from Ticowind and stay at the Rock River lodge. Didnt have a rental car last year - the bus/cab combo worked great and didnt cost much. But it was BBOORING there on the no-wind days. Will get a car this year. Several people had no problem driving the small two wheel drive econo cars there - so thats what Ill probably get. Planning a trip to Tamarindo as well. |

Hi!Im new on this site (just using my beaus account actually). Bastonnade (Tom)just left on Fri Jan.16 for Lake Arenal, Costa Rica to do some windsurfing. Questions:
Are there a lot of activities to do close by, outside of windsurf on days that are not windy enough? Are they many decent places to stay closed to the lake? Hows the access to public internet/pay phones in that area? Are there web sites where I can possibly see recent/live shots of windsurfing at Lake Arenal? Any info and a prompt answer will be greatly appreciated as he will return to MTL on Jan 30...
Thanks a lot in advance
