LASIK & Gorge Water

Im headed in to see if I qualify for the surgery. Im worried about the bacteria in the Gorge water. Is the river skankier than say, the San Francisco Bay? Any comments would really help a paranoid sailor. Thanks.

I wouldnt go in ANY water until my eyes were healed. Once healed, they shoud be ... healed.

There are links within that site for darn near each salmon in Da River. Theres bound to be a water quality page in there somewhere. If not, try the CGWA site.

Thanks for the answers. Unfortunately, I was a textbook non-candidate. Astigmatism, recent prescription change, and some contrast sensitivity issues. Im so jealous!! I guess Ill make do with my best corrected vision. Thanks again for your help.
