Ive been windsurfing for 3 years during the summer in the Meditteranean. Im thinking of visiting Florida and I dont know where to go. Somewhere safe and beautiful, with a motel close by would be great. I need to rent the equipement so that has to be available- obviously. Anybody have any suggestions?
Thanks

I live in the city of clearwater, some pretty good sailing here, there is howard park for some speed cruising, north beach at fort desoto park, and dunedin causeway for wave sailing, maybe 5 or six other locations, and the extremly helpful guys at tackle shack can help you out with renting equipment, and would probly show you where these spots are located...try there website(while alittle outdated) shows lots of information on it
www.funonwater.com

But, there are plenty of other great places to go in florida, jupiter inlet, Merrit island and the coast along there, youll just have to research it out alittle

hope this helps alittle

I took a clinic from Tinho at Calema in Merritt Island-great instruction, great gear, mostly fairly shallow, and you couldnt get too far away to get back in any case-plenty of available lodging, too! There is and article on this site under events/midwinters, with a link to their site.
