In April, my wife and I are taking a one-week trip to Maui. Im an avid Bay Area sailor, but my wife is not. I thought it would be a great place for her to take some beginning/intermediate lessons and perhaps learn to waterstart, given that she is generally adverse to cold. Can anyone recommend a good school or instructor in Maui with which theyve had a good time? Id really like her to have a positive experience.

( incase that link doesnt work: http://www.hstwindsurfing.com/ )
My girlfriend and I were there in August/September. She took 3 lessons from HST and they were awesome. There was another company on the beach teaching lessons at the same time but they were not as impressive to me (sorry, I cant remember their name). I think most of the shops book their lessons through HST. |

HST is the only way to go on Maui. They managed to teach me how to waterstart when I was only 12 years old!!! Looking forward to going back this year for some wave lessons now that Im an elderly 15.
