To first learn loops, what you have to do is go find some relativly flat water, be powered up but not overpowered. do a small chophop heading way off the wind, as you jump, pull your knees twords your chest and make the nose of the board stick in the water slightly more downwind than you are already pointing. At the same time MAKE SURE YOU LOOK AT THE CLEW (I cant emphisize this enought, I tried about 20 looking forward and never rotated, and than tried one looking back and it is almost automatic) sheet in hard with your back hand ( really hard and make sure you are only pulling in your back hand and not your front) and than your nose will stick in the water and you will get plopped over on your back, and that will get you over the fear factor, and also get the felling of the motion. than try them higher and faster and pretty soon you will be landing them.
