Jet Boats in Hatteras?

My girlfriend and I have a SeaDoo Bombardier (sp?) jet boat that seats 4 people. I realize that Jet skis have been outlawed on the outer banks but this isnt really a jet ski. My intentions are not to hassle the other sailors but to use it to set up bouys or as a safety boat to sail from possibly at the reef out in the sound.

I normally stay at Frisco and I know theres a boat launch a mile or so North of the campground. I dont think it would be a good idea to beach this thing overnight simply because of how drastic weather can pop up overnight. Ill probably pull it out every night and leave it on the trailor.

Any suggestions?

Again... I dont want to piss off any sailors. My intentions are to use this boat to enhance the experience. Give others a platform to take pictures from as well.

Nothing personal, but anything that stinks like a jet-ski could not possibly enhance the sailing experience (if you ask me). Ya ya I know you didnt ask me, but hey you got something for nothing. yay.
