I think cuz it blows all the time! seriously, it does rip generally..as you know. very high sailing percentage all year, except for a lull in the fall.
for the days when the trades are blocked, well I dont know if they can forecast that accurately. I do see that on local hawaiian weather info..so I guess they have some idea.
maybe another reason, is the shops dont make money if no one rents due to a bad forecast (?) |

It does blow a lot and if the N. shore is not windy then Kehei is often blowing or vice versa. Glenn James program Maui Today at 7am has a windsurfing forecast. Glenn is a surfer so his surf forecast is good. The wind forecast is useful. The weather radio is good for tracking swell.
