Where does one go to find out what kind of wetsuits are best, how to choose equipment and compare and where to buy equipment. Looking for the Consumer Reports of Windsurfing. |

Wetsuits: check out Surfer magazine November 1999 Wetsuit Buyer Guide, Wind Surfing March 2000 for 135 board tests, and Wind Surfing April 2000 for 80 new sails. |

I think you are here; the mags do it but of course there is the advertising $$. The best suits for wind are Promotion in Hood River, hands down. For surfing, Hotline in Santa Cruz. |

Its too bad Performance Windsurf Report walked away from the industry when the industry slackened off. They kept their testers and review writers isolated from their advertising and billing staff, so the gearheads had no clue who was paying what for ad space. It kept $$$ bias out of the their board and sail reviews for several years.
Whether the current crop of mag reviews follow that same protocol I dont know, but I suspect there is still less bias than everyone assumes.
