We have a business junket to the Atlantis resort in early May. The hotel doesnt list windsurfing, but I was wondering if there were any rentals nearby and any info on the likelihood of wind there next month. Trying to decide whether to bother to pack my harness.
Thanks, |

Ooops! Sorry bout that last response. In my opinion, based on 3 or 4 trips, forget it. I made a deal with a local who rents at the club med (next door), but equipment was crap. Also found a decent board/sail over at Cable Beach Hotel, but Ive never been there when there is any wind. Biggest problem is renting equipment that isnt torn up learner stuff.

Dear windsurfer, I worked in Club Med Paradise island, which is located at about a mile from Atlantis in may the water is flat as a pancake and there is no wind ,they only get wind there in the winter october through januari. You can join Club Med for one day and use all the sportsgear. Hobie cats and windsurfgear is available .If for some unlikely chance ,it would be blowing ,they also have harnesses there ,for the winter months.
Michel (sorry I couldnt give you better news, next year tell the company to go to Aruba) |
