What I really need is a couple of rear straps, but Dakine does not sell them separately.

There were about a dozen full sets (packaged on card) on the shelf at Windance this weekend 8/5/23. You likely have found them by now. They list individual straps on their website, but are out of stock. You might call them to see if they have individual stock floating around, unlisted in inventory.

I presume that katosandog has tried and likes Contours, but anyone who hasn't may appreciate knowing that Dakine's claim that they "offer unrivaled fit, control, and comfort" is just the opposite of reality. i.e., Velcro strap versions provide on-the-water, tool-free fine tuning to within a millimeter to compensate for such things as different riders, different (or no) booties, whims, conditions, objectives (such as jumping vs slashing vs cruising), arch-less feet, breakfast, and more. Contours are completely useless at any price for some of us. |
