Looks like you might be reaching 2-second averages near 35 mph (30.5 knots). That's still quite fast for the gear you are using.

Thanks for the input, everybody.

I ran the same camera data through the GoPro phone app, instead of the GroPro Quik desktop version. And it's as skeptical as you guys are. Besides its algorithm filtering it gives a 1 sec average. It's saying I hit a sustained 35 point something mph. Not 39 mph MAX. The speedometer moves really smooth.

Thx,

Water conditions help, those are quite flat! A FSW or Wave board can be quite fast on short runs, a freestyle actually faster. My RRD FSW 90 can do the best 5x2" in the 26-28 knots range. This with a Point-7 ACX 6.0 and K4 Fang or Tectonics Falcon 30 cm. Beam reaches in choppy overpowered conditions. I can probably dig out individual 2" that are faster but not sure what would be the point of that.

However the FSW catches easily thanks to its round rails, and if I look at 5x10" results they drop quit a bit. 500 meters is out of reach given our local conditions. It is fun though, and easy compared to a slalom board!

Split screen video raw: Same GPS data from one camera - GoPro HERO6 Black. Comparing GoPro Quik phone app vs GoPro Quik desktop.

GoPro Quik phone app: "I haven't seen enough data yet, I wanna see the full second"
GoPro Quik desktop: "For the dream!!"
