History books will not be kind to these republicans. The most dishonorable president in American history. The most abhorrent president in American history. The most deplorable republicans in American history. We will be very lucky if the shinning star of democracy survives these fucking lies. These piles upon piles of fucking dog shit lies.

The Smithsonian has been collecting artifacts for the last year to be part of the American History Museum on the National Mall. There is a protocol in place for such events to immediately begin collecting information and artifacts. They actually started work 4 hours after the attack.

Congratulations Matty, Isobars, NW, Techno, Gybe and the 40 million other fuckheads, you now will be cataloged in the American History Museum, maybe you will have your own wing. Maybe they will build a monument in your honor on the national Mall.

Thanks guys, you assholes have ruined this great country. Couldn’t just debate policy and vote like adults could you? Nope you had to be a children. This great county deserves better than the likes of you.

please do not count your chickens till they hatch. We have learned with his speech AG Garland has done nothing and is not intending on doing anything substantial. He wants to be a supreme court justice who is moderate. As we have seen no significant jail time for attacking the USA with lies no evidence of vote fraud.

So we know the right wing is pressing hard to take the house and more local elections next election via voter removal from the ability to even vote and extremist gerrymandering. Both methods are very effective.

So there will be no more congressional investigations except on Hillary and Bill again. One will be both of their relationships with Epostein, though Bill was always with the Secret Service and he never said he knew Epstien for 15 years and was a great guy to be with, with young girls. That was Trump who had a very close personal relationship with Epstien even throwing private parties for epstein with 40 or so teen beauty queens where just him and Epstein were the nly males. creepy.... but the investigations will be Benghazi and Pizzagate again. you know the USA was almost overthrown because of the massive child abuse Hillary was involved in at that pizza place. Add in Hunter Biden investigations but you know theones on that trump guy Barrack who was paid of only 1.5 billion dollars to do what at Trumps top ME advisor and party planner. WTF do you do to get paid 1.5 billion dollars which is basically as much as Biden Spent in his entire election. Why was an or just one oil nation from the ME giving trumps party planner so much money. Ya that is not important is it.

Tom Barrack: Former Trump adviser's trial set for September

the history books will be written by those who win the elections, they trump people will erase anything they do not like and Pardon even more criminals and crimes and appoint these and other ultra haters of democracy to make sure dems can never win again even with more votes as being done today.

But what we do know is, there were many people inside that Capitol Building that day that were not doing any of those things. They weren't touching anybody. They weren't assaulting anybody. They were walking around inside that Capitol Building. Many of them were grandmas. Many of them almost appeared to be ushered in.

And so their only crime that a majority of the people inside that building, the people that entered that building, I guess the only crime was maybe entering the building. And many of them, quite honestly, didn't even realize that they were committing a violation of the law. That is the United States Capitol. It's open to citizens.

This is pretty much Iso's defense word for word. Since Conservatives are such sheep, they shouldn't be held accountable for what they did. They were just doing what they always do, follow blindly. How were they to know what they were doing was illegal since the person they were following was doing the same thing?

Wow it's almost as if wsurfer wrote the above but he didn't. He quoted some longhorn asshole from Texas.

There is one public entrance to the Capitol Building and it was closed on January 6, 2021.

So everything was a breach of a security perimeter.

So F*ck the tourists and grandmas!!!

as noted the supreme court would not accept trumps request to stop his documents in possession of the archives secret.

they not only said his argument as a former president has the right, but they said even if he was president privilege would not be allowed.

'Exactly what happened in Watergate!': SCOTUS rebuffs Trump's bid to hide Jan. 6 evidence

[quote]The Supreme Court has rejected Trump's effort to stop the National Archives from giving the Jan. 6 Committee hundreds of pages of documents from his time in the White House. MSNBC's Chief Legal Correspondent Ari Melber is joined by MSNBC's Nicolle Wallace, former Watergate prosecutor Nick Akerman, and The New York Times Magazine's Emily Bazelon to break down the significance of this decision.

This week, 11 North Carolina voters challenged Rep. Madison Cawthorn’s legal eligibility to run in the Republican primary for a House seat. The complaint, filed with the North Carolina State Board of Elections, charges that Cawthorn is disqualified by Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, which states that no person shall be a member of the House if, having previously taken an oath to support the Constitution as a member of Congress, the person then “engaged in insurrection” against the Constitution. Congress may grant amnesty to anyone subject to Section 3 by a vote of two-thirds of each chamber.

This challenge tests how seriously we will take the actions of the violent mob on Jan. 6, 2021, as well as the actions of those who aided and abetted the insurrection. Though Cawthorn did not participate in the Capitol riot, he promoted in advance the demonstration that preceded it, saying that “the future of this Republic hinges on the action of a solitary few. … It’s time to fight,” and spoke at the gathering. Later, he defended the actions of people who invaded the Capitol.

The suit will also augment the work of the House select committee investigating Jan. 6. That’s because, under North Carolina law, if any voter raises a “reasonable suspicion” that a candidate does not meet the constitutional eligibility requirements for office, then the candidate must prove that he is, in fact, eligible to serve. Cawthorn will have a full and fair opportunity to present his case and make clear that he did not “engage in insurrection,” though he may well have to testify under oath in that state proceeding. The latter is a key point, because the House select committee cannot compel Cawthorn or any other member of the House to testify in the way that the committee can compel others (such as Stephen K. Bannon, the former White House chief strategist) to talk — namely, through the threat of a criminal contempt-of-Congress referral to the Justice Department. But the committee could draw on testimony from the state eligibility proceeding to flesh out information that it compiles from other sources.

My state's idiot governor is pushing a bill based on this statement he sent to my email inbox:
"January 6, 2021, was a pivotal day in America’s history. Attempts to hold elected leaders accountable for their roles in spreading disinformation and inciting a deadly, attempted coup of the U.S. Capitol are ongoing.”

My response sent to him was "Do you really think we’re that stupid? Do you not realize that many of us examine both sides of the news?"

1. No one aware of the facts could possibly believe his statement. This entire Jan 6 committee is clearly nothing more than a "Russian collusion" farce redux.

2. If that gets me in trouble, so be it.
