The Week At The Lake is coming!
For those who may not know: This is a non-event I invented, to try to get a whole bunch of windsurfers at the lake all at once, like the old days! I pick a weekend, usually the week AFTER Memorial Day to start, and people show up when they can and stay for as long as they want. If the weather turns horrible, we’ll probably leave early. This is peak season for wind at Isabella, so it’s as good a bet as anywhere, Debi & I have had a couple good days already! So look for my Lance trailer and tall Ford Transit van, and my Sailworks flag, introduce yourself if I don’t know you, and lets have some fun!

Hey Spencer, thanks for posting!
Is it still free to camp? It’s been a long time, is it best to buy a yearly pass or daily pass? Any other info would be appreciated, hoping to go.

Keep in mind that this is a totally unofficial event, it's just something I've been doing for 20 years. This is peak wind season for Isabella, and since I've planned it for the week AFTER Memorial Day, should be minimal crowds.
I think camping is 5 or 10 dollars, not quite sure. If you're old like me & have a national senior pass it's free for up to 2 weeks. You will need to buy a lake permit sticker for $30. to windsurf, and a separate one if you SUP. Do NOT try to get away without doing this, it's bad for all of us. I'll have a couple or 3 permitted SUPs with me that people can use if they want to.

Oh.....
I'm a long time surfer, and as such, can't abide by fees to park, then more fees per boat.
Lake Folsom has those fees, as does Lopez.
Thanks for the warning, I can safely pass.
