I got awakened by 50 mph gusts and lightning flashes ar 4 am here in Greenbrae. I di didn't see that in any models.

Mike—the heavy rain—and my old bladder—woke me in Berkeley at about 4:00 am. The lightning and thunder followed, and is still going on—off and on. Unstable air plus moisture. Nice blog post.

Mike,

Thanks for the attention you gave to my post. The gusts only lasted maybe half an hour. We did get rain in the morning--very gratifying.
