The city of Berkeley is considering opening the marina to overnight parking of RVs. Last year when the parking lot at Hs Lordships was invaded by RVs it was a dirty mess. Our parks should not be free trailer parks. |

Crissy Field is seeing a steady increase in RV's either parked the whole day or overnighting, despite rules prohibiting it. Park Police and NPS seem uninterested in doing anything about it. Unfortunate. |

Have you ever dreamed of waterfront living? Just pickup an old RV, pick your bay view and walla!
Seriously is one really homeless living in an RV with up to date tags?
If Bezerkeley opens up HLS to RV's then I say we go together on a couple big RV's and park them near the launch. That way we hold our turf and have an instant windsurfing resort! _________________ Sponsored by Starboard and The Loft |

I don't see any "steady increase" of RVs and RVs do not seem like much of a problem at Stick or Crissy or Coyote ... Kiters at Crissy are much more annoying! (just joking) and if you wonder about "crime" there are bigger fishes to fry: Pardue Parnaceutical superintended much more than a steady increase in opiod abuse (not joking). |

From Berkeleyside last night:
Update, 8:25 p.m. City officials report that they will take the marina off the table during their discussion Tuesday night about RV parking. Mayor Jesse Arreguín says the city has had talks with the owner of a private lot instead. Councilwoman Rashi Kesarwani has also submitted an amended proposal, co-sponsored by Arreguín and Councilwoman Sophie Hahn, which removes the marina as a safe parking option and would instead direct staff to keep looking for another “off-street” location. Stay tuned for details. |

The final vote included looking at the marina. Sigh. |
