Thanks for all the advice everyone.
@Kevin - watched the video link, thanks ! I noticed that your back foot was only a tad off the center line and not all the way on the leeward rail, if I’m not mistaken ?
@ Lucaro - sounds like you heavily weight the back foot, but doesn’t this lead to easier breaching ?
Also I’ve heard that duck jibing on a foil is easier than regular jibe?
Thanks |

I don't intentionally overweight the back foot, just enough to initiate and maintain the turn and probably less than a regular gybe. However, there is a point of time during the gybe when both feet are back, which can lead to a breach if your are already flying high or if you screw up your footwork. But I have found that doing the footwork after the sail flip when board is slower and lower in the water provides a bigger margin of error.
I am not a great duck gyber so cannot really comment on if its easier. I have made a couple on the foil but feel much more confident with the carve gybe. |

Not all foil jibe well, the new slingshot is one of the better ones, while
naish i haven't seeing videos with clean consistent jibes.
My current custom foil designed 3 years ago definitely has issue with dropping speed and hight as I go through the turn and becomes
unstable.. we just got new wave foil that solved that problem and many other improvements. Will be doing final tests this weekend, weather permitting. |

M looks the size of Inf 76, slightly bigger than Naish 1220. |

I like the way the NP and Naish foils are constructed, but I don't think they have the same development put into wing profile as the Slingshot. Which is a shame because they are superior in every other way.
I haven't however directly held any of the 2020 stuff. |

I wonder a bit about "development"..
Have we seen really good riders on all the different foil offerings?
Seems rec foils, we see great riders making the SS foils look really good.
Lots of riders have tried different foils, always the newest is best, while the previous foils all had "problems".
Could that be related to changing skill? As a beginner, we make every foil look bad. We change foils, look better, but our skills have progressed. |

Perhaps. But lots of guys went from the H2 to an Infinity wing and reported their first flying gybes within a day or two.
I've been on the H2 for 2 years and still not flown one.
P.S. these are guys I sail with and their skills are similar to my own. Possibly I sail in higher winds more often. |
