Friends,
Enough bitching. I do my part to slow climate change by never driving for recreation. As a car-less sailor, this translates to no TI from SF without a ride share, rentacar, hitch, carpool with amigos for a transport with rig. Give us access that doesn't require climate changing emissions. And no, EV are carbon emitters as long as generation of electricity is fossil fuel based.
So the "Sprinter" can't be parked close. I can't even go there without f'ing up the planet. You?
Inventing a new bicycle powered paddle boat,
Joe

Dude "Joe" by 2040 the US will need to spend 440 Billion to build walls along the coasts of states like North Carolina and Florida etc. not to mention Manhattan! By 2050 all society around the world will break down because one to two Billion people will be forced to move inland.
It's nice that you are trying and I commend you for it but seriously the 6th extinction has already begun and unless a super caldera like Yellowstone blows or a nuclear war happens, civilization is a goner.
So try not to feel guilty for driving the 10 miles to TI!

Open, come in via Ave I, drive to the ramp and park at will. Others of us park and launch at the pipe, 200 yds upwind.

Update:
For Pipe Jumpers, don't park on the grass near the levy, park in the closest street spots not dedicated to apartments.
for Ramp Rats, SFPD says to park 30 feet or more in front of the metal barrier. We may mark it with paint.

The police have kindly requested that we not park between the support cable and the gate (see photo) so they can drive their cruiser around the gate to patrol the area. We definitely don't want to impede their patrols! We need them!
