Are weeds a problem this year? I thought they started treating the weeds after they got tired of the weeds clogging up the water pipes to the dam?

This is a moving target .
There not a problem if you use a weed fin.
There is nothing visible on the surface yet.
They do treat them but its a one time deal and they
wait till there is some surface build up.
There are some strands floating I guess and you can see
(and as they accumulated on my boom and lines)
the start of the growth coming up from the bottom .
Usually the first sign is slick spots on the water there are
none of those currently.
Yesterday the windsurf sensor was indicating due east when
it was more like a tad south west. 180 to 90 degrees out the
norm now for the windsurf sensor. The 152 sensor use to be the best indicator but it has disappeared. Looking at the Live Wind and surrounding
sensors is the best bet.
Plea's to fix the sensor problem have fallen on deaf ears I guess. |

First day of June had a pretty good crew- 7 of us out on the SL Creek side. Wind picked up around 3, super high water level and pretty warm. It was another rig the biggest sail you can hold onto and go fast day. I was ranging from overpowered to super overpowered on a 4.9. |

Charles, After I reported the flaky wind vane to iwindsurf they responded that they couldn't fix it. They said that the sensor can't work correctly because of where it is located. I told them that it used to show direction correctly for many years in the same location as now but the false direction only started last year. No response. I also told them that the Rt 152 sensor gave better info and maybe they should move their sensor to that location. No response. As you pointed out that sensor no longer appears. Maybe if we keep griping someone will eventually get around to fixing it. Kinda sucks to get blown off by the providers of a service we all pay for. |

Arrived at 12 pm tried a 5.3 then had to move down to 4.7 .
Kind of oscillated around that value most of the afternoon.
about 8 people there today windsurfing.
Warm today some people in shortys.
Yep wind sensor out 180 degrees again today.
Looks like it would get embarrassing for them.
It clear that all the sensors in the surrounding area's
are going the other way.
No Love from Iwindsurf for San Luis Res.
I got a bunch of people to report the inaccuracy of this
location two years ago nothing done since then apparently.
I have been putting up readings from my iwindsurf bluetooth meter
when I can . I make those readings by the one tree on the North Side
so out on the water it's always 5 to 10 mph higher in the middle. |

But not the weekend. We had planned on coming down for the weekend but with the big north wind forecast for the valley I hate to leave wind to chase wind.

It was gusty and never quite settled in on anything today.

Also clear on the way back and in Santa Cruz so I wouldn't
expect much tommrow. |

Tomorrow could be one of those insane hot SL days- 100 degrees and 20-25+ winds. All you need is a hat so you don't get sunburned and some swim trunks so you don't get arrested, and you're good to go on a 5.0-6.0.
Kind of bummed that I have to work all day. |

I don't see any fog on the coast satellite photos yet.
Might need another day to develop if it shows up. |
