Ghostwriter says Trump reportedly lost $1B because he had ‘no talent’
Charles Leerhsen, ghostwriter of Trump’s 1990 book “Surviving at the Top,” writes in a Yahoo News column that President Donald Trump’s businesses were hemorrhaging massive amounts of money during this time. This coming in the wake of a New York Times bombshell report that, from 1985 to 1994, Trump’s taxes figures show he lost more than $1 billion. Leerhsen joins Phillip Mena to talk about these financial revelations.

Trump lawyers deny Congress's authority on presidential crimes

Quote:
Rachel Maddow reports on a court hearing on the House Oversight Committee's subpoena of Donald Trump's financial documents in which Trump's lawyers appeared to baffle the judge with their argument that Congress does not have the authority to investigate the president for violations of criminal law.

low to no-level thinker--- that is how they take down most of the mafia, they rarely catch them ordering hits on politicians.... are you saying let them out of jail.

next, for ultra-low-level thinkers, the IRS has nothing to do with the emoluments clause.

Next, for the dumbest of the dumbest low-level non-thinkers, the IRS is not responsible for determining or finding out if foreign governments are involved with influencing a person with bribery, loans, gifts money laundering and so on.

next for even lowerer than low no level thinkers the IRS is now run by the president and has his hit men in charge of it. One of those in the top two positions was from the firm doing his taxes. talking about conflict of intrest who has not recused himself. Congress has oversight over the corrupt executive branch. How many of trumps corrupt people have already been convicted or indicted and plead guilty... record-setting. in fact the investigation may have already been paid for by fines and property surenders.

to be ruled on I think tomorrow.

as we know yesterday judge ruled his taxes must be released by accounting firm. And his ruling has a far-reaching ruling if other judges use that one for reference. He said Nixon as an example during office and cited Kenneth Starr with Clinton and whitewater before clinton was president. stating congress has the right to investigate without limit anything that a president ever did wrong as well as those associated with him. again do not run for president if you are a criminal.

The judge even said that trumps arguments were flawed.

WRONG!': Trump fumes after NYT reports on his banking history
Quote:
Dylan StablefordSenior Editor,Yahoo News•May 20, 2019
President Trump on Monday lashed out at the New York Times after the paper reported that anti-money-laundering specialists at Deutsche Bank flagged multiple transactions involving him and his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, in 2016 and 2017, and recommended they be reported to a federal financial-crimes watchdog.

Deutsche Bank executives rejected their employees’ advice, the Times said, and the suspicious transactions were never reported.

Trump, though, did not respond to that part of the report. The president, instead, fixated on the newspaper’s assertion that unlike Deutsch Bank, “most Wall Street banks had stopped doing business with him.”

Judge denies Trump bid to block financial records from Congress
A federal judge has soundly rejected arguments from President Trump’s lawyers, forcing the president’s accounting firm to hand over financial records to Congress, creating a big setback for the White House. Former federal prosecutor Berit Berger and former U.S. Attorney Greg Brower join Chris Jansing to explain why that's just the beginning of the legal fight.

Judge rules against Trump, paves way for banks to provide his business records to Congress

Quote:
NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump, three of his children and the Trump Organization on Wednesday lost their bid to block Deutsche Bank AG and Capital One Financial Corp from providing financial records to Democratic lawmakers investigating Trump's businesses.

In a decision read from the bench after hearing arguments, U.S. District Judge Edgardo Ramos in New York said Congress has the legal authority to demand the records, clearing the way for the banks to comply with subpoenas issued to them by two U.S. House of Representatives committees last month.

The committees have agreed not to enforce the subpoenas for seven days, the judge said. It was the second time in three days that a judge had ruled against the Republican president in his fight with Democrats and Trump's lawyers were expected to appeal both decisions.

Ramos said he would not suspend his decision pending appeal.

House Democrats say whistleblower bolsters case for getting Trump's tax returns

A whistleblower recently made “credible allegations” to the Ways and Means Committee of potentially wrongful interference with the IRS’ presidential audit process, lawyers for the House told a federal court Tuesday.

The Trump administration argues that Neal needs a legitimate legislative reason for seeking the documents and that he has none. His real motivation, Trump’s attorneys say, is to politically embarrass the president.
