I am forecasting good wind for Baja's East Cape today. And the forecast is pretty easy since you can see the El Norte wind coming down the Sea of Cortez by the cloud streets in the satellite imagery below.
This satellite imagery from dawn to 10 AM today Sunday, Dec. 9 shows the patchy clouds streaming down the Sea of Cortez and into the valleys downwind of La Ventana and outside of Los Barriles.
Note how the La Ventana winds curve in towards the valley. We need those clouds to clear in the Los Planes valley to get the strongest wind right to the beaches. Otherwise, the strongest wind may stay just outside.
Looking carefully at the image and you can see that there is already some clearing at the end of the video.
