Looks like there is a chance to catch some of Mike's wind on Friday. Considering early drive down to Seaside Heights, NJ. Wind is forecasted to be N 20 to 25 with gusts 30 knots. Thinking sailing ocean side.

Changing my focus. Looks as though Michael is moving faster than previous forecast. Now thinking Cape Cod.

Michael gave us three days of surf in South Texas. One was the best day I have had here. Although most of the beach got flooded by an extremely high tide. I hope the East Coast gets to enjoy some of the positive side of this, too. |

Not expecting much surf as the storm will not be over the Atlantic for very long before scurrying away.

Agreed, I think your main effect will be wind. |

Looks like I am back to NJ. Thinking Sandy Hook.

Ledge Light is averaging 39 gusting 46 at 7:40 am. Still raining but will end soon. Staying put as it should go northwest soon. |

Just came back from a 4 hour session on a 4.0 at Sandy Hook, NJ. Sailed solo for about 3 hours or so then a few showed up.
Winds were gusting into the low 40s with beautiful sunshine. THanks Mike!

Actually, traffic was not bad, drove through NYC around 5 AM.
On the way back, I had about a 15 min delay.
Looks like the models underperformed the strength of the front, which was held back by the remnants of Michael, once he was past it came through quite rapidly.
Arrived at Sandy Hook at about 6:15. Was originally pondering sailing the ocean side, but glad I did not. I would not have liked to be the who found the corpse on the beach yesterday.
