I hit a rock fully powered up and blew out a rear Slot Box fin box. Destroyed the front screw tab and cracked the bottom of the box at the rear screw. The box needs to be replaced, does anyone know where I can source a replacement? Thanks.

Flikka in Euro, made in house , use a internal hex screw, best made .

Matt Prichard , prichard bros email site . They will be Cobra made .

If these fail , ask me to look if I have any extras .

Make sure you get the length you need for the REAR one, thats broken.Standard rears are 13cm long, one time a shorter version of 10cm was used at the front. Flikka’s are different yet and 12.4cm and I think 9cm.

Just remembered this Chris Freeman of BlackProject Fins, had some Simmer Slotboxes.

This company had screws, worth a check for boxes.

Unfortunate but some bad information on the other thread.

You could do this, but then you're doing double the work. On the other
hand, I like bigger rear fins on Quads. With US boxes you could run the
thing as a twin. Still seems like a lot of work. Would the tail depth allow
the US boxes to fit without protruding through the deck. It's a bit more
weight also.

Most US boxes, actually all i have ever seen have less depth than most slotboxes, Simmer being about the same in depth.

To me changing to USBox on 1 broken and 1 good box would be a last resort.

I think I would make my own slotbox first.

Thanks for the information in your last post. I emailed Matt he is looking through his stock to see if he has one. I emailed Chris as well but he hasn't gotten back to me yet. It is strange with Slot Boxes being so common its so hard to get replacements. One saving grace is that I can get the box water tight with JB Weld epoxy put a blank in the box and sail the board as a thruster.
