Trump's Tweet this morning increases the odds that Kavanaugh withdraws his name sooner than later.

He has bigger stones than that, you really think that K would allow her to get away with this, which would severely weaken the nomination process for the foreseeable future? I think he cares more about this country than that.

Allow her to get away with what? Don't you want to hear the facts? You just bitch slapped Vientomas for not presuming innocence, which would imply you support the process of discovery , and judicial process. If he cared about the country, he'd step aside and allow Trump to nominate a more impressive candidate for this lifetime appointment...

According to the democrats these days, that person doesn't exists, unless it was a solid liberal that was nominated.

Sen. Blumenthal: Kavanaugh will cast a 'stain' on Supreme Court

Quote:
Senate Judiciary Committee announces it will hold a public hearing with Trump Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh and Professor Christine Blasey Ford, who alleges he sexually assaulted her. Attorney Maya Wiley tells Ari Melber that the allegation is an “abuse of power crime” and Senator Richard Blumenthal says the Senate should not hold hearings on the matter until the FBI has conducted their investigation, to avoid “shooting in the dark”.

Blumenthal has already cast a stain on himself when he lied about serving in Viet Nam, he never did, and why he is still in office, as well as on that committee, is beyond me, he gave up all credibility long ago.

The right wing smearing someone that might have outed another pussy grabber?

NW unclear on the difference between criminal cases and a lifetime appointment to the ultimate arbiter of law?

Is anyone surprised?

NO, and there are plenty of conservative judges that would get through.

Not today, the libs allowed Trump to get one conservative judge in there, but two!?! That's just too many, and at the same time the libs are praying that Ginsburg doesn't die or resign while Trump is still POTUS.
If she does, then they'd prefer a supreme court that was short of judges, just as they do today.

First off, RBG will live another 12-14 years, she's in great shape. Secondly, wasn't it the Repubs, and Mitch McConnel who said in the Summer of 2016, that there is NO urgency to seat a ninth judge? answer: YES.
I'm sorry but the 10 month filibuster set the precedent, and I hope the Dems repay the favor...

Which just makes the nomination process worse, and worse, and worse.
Politics is becoming lethally shortsighted.
Who the hell would want to go thru that kind of anal exam?

The seriousness of a charge, has to be balanced by the seriousness of the evidence, otherwise it's kangaroo time.
