September 15 & 16 at Beverly Triton Park in Edgewater MD, near Annapolis.

The ECC will include Formula, Slalom, Open, Kona and Long Distance. NOR is on the link with all of the details. Please email babanews@mac.com if you have any questions, or to let us know you're coming.
We also include Meet at the Beach during our regattas - windsurfers, family and friends are encouraged to come out and windsurf, sail or SUP. The regatta is a great time to hang out with windsurfing friends and enjoy a day on the water even if you don’t want to race. We also encourage and provide help and support to beginning windsurfers. If you’ve just bought a bunch of gear and are still learning to rig and tune we can help you! There’s always a good crowd at BABA Races, and it’s a great time to check out an unfamiliar launch with experienced windsurfers around.

If the wind looks to be 14 mph or higher, I sure hope to attend one or both days! I am reaching out to some folks who have been off the water for a while to get them in the mood, too.
Are there parking limitations, or is it not ususally an issue at this location? |

Hi Justall - we have lots of space at BT Park - the ranger is allowing us to park on the grass for the regatta. This launch is usually "drop your gear off and park down the road" but we have special privileges for the event.
Please email babanews@mac.com with your contact info.
With hurricane Florence around the corner we want to be able to contact everyone via email if there are any changes for the event. |

Notice to all ECC racers at the moment we are watching hurricane Florence closely and as she gets more predictable when landing to the coast we will have a better idea of the ECC race status.
Currently we are holding to the NOR and the race is on!!
If we see on Thursday that the conditions will not be conducive to racing we will post this by Thursday afternoon via email and Facebook. Please email babanews@mac.com to get email updates about the event.
The current prediction of weather in our area is 13 to 18 knots and good sailing. It is likely the storm path will land in the area between Wilmington and Morehead city. The consensus is that once hitting land the storm will stall and rapidly decrease winds to 30 knots as it goes inland. It will carry significant rain. Our area is expected 13 to 18 knots and normal weather with some mix of sun and showers possible Sunday and 11 to 18 knots Saturday and occasional clouds and sun.
The biggest threat will be tides increasing. The best guess at the moment 2 to 3 feet above normal.
We look forward to a great and windy regatta lets sail!
We will give further updates on Thursday

BABA Race Director
