165 lbs. windsurfing since 1981. Mostly flat water these days. lake Lopez and South Padre Island are my main spots. The largest sail I have is a 5.8 Ezzy Zeta. Largest windsurfing board is a Tabou 3s 96. Just got a Sling Shot board and foil.
Only been out 5/6 times. Its fly's pretty easy with my 5.2 Zeta in very light winds. When the wind picks up I plug my 5.2 into my 3s and keep going.
Works well at my local spot. Just need rain to fill up Lopez

Check out Tobago! A GREAT sailing venue and can be easy on the wallet. My connecting flight from Vancouver was through Toronto so it should be a pretty cheap destination for you from Montreal. Jem Hall and Peter Hart do clinics there. Catch one if you time it right. Back on topic...

140 lbs (+/- 63 kg)

Biggest Board: 2016 Starboard Futura 114L
Biggest Sail: 2017 Sailworks Retro 7.5.
Fin: Makani KAULIA v2 Freerace 42cm.

Primary location: English Bay. Vancouver, BC.

With this setup planing for me starts at about 11-12 knots.

I'm considering the addition of either an 8.6 NX or 8.5 Retro. This would become my largest sail. I'd likely need a larger fin as well.

Kona One with the red 9.0 Kona sail. I also have an Alpha Lightwind Race 375 at 250 liters and a Mistral Superlight. I like longboards and they work well for lake sailing in Louisiana. Love my Ezzy Cheetah 8.0 too. Just acquired an old RRD Easyride Large, it's huge, like sailing a door. Using it to get some new folks involved in windsurfing. I'm a 205 pound old fart. Still learning and progressing.
