Unlikely. mac refuses to read books that contradict his rigid dogma. Even after he claimed to have read Lomborg's "Cool It", he had to admit that he hadn't.

I HAVE read ... as in studied and annotated ... scores of authoritative books and perused hundreds of published studies reaching and expanding conclusions similar to the Eades' book you cite. It's old, but the dangers of sugar in all its forms have been published for many hundreds of years and scientifically reinforced in many ways right up through last month. Ancel Keyes' mid-20th century saturated fat => high cholesterol => heart disease fraud (literally) was solidly debunked by his own data, and like a good leftist, he did his damnedest to literally imprison those who pointed that out. Yet even the Mayo Clinic still pushes Keyes' faked data and disproven dogma, including the old "Calories in, calories out" and "LDL cholesterol is bad" tripe.
.

Too funny. The conspiracy mind set of the tin foil hat crew on full display.

Isobars peeked, but didn't check. I have never claimed to have read Lumborg's book, but I have read other statements by Lumborg, and reviews of his work. I won't look back through over 500 pages of the Global Cooling thread--but I remember the gist of what I wrote. I wrote that Isobars, despite his annotations, has continuously posted misrepresentations of Lumborg. Lumborg is a darling of the right and big carbon because he is sarcastic and pokes fun at the exaggerations of global warming hysterics. His opinion is not that global warming is not occuring, or that human activities are a significant cause. Instead, he argues that there are higher priorities. That is an opinion that he is certainly entitled to. He is not known as careful with facts-- a different matter altogether. And like unscrupulous pundits like Ann Coulter, he has gotten rich in the denial industry.

Quote:
Commentary 30 August, 2018

On 27 August, the ‘New York Post’ published an article by Dr Bjorn Lomborg that was filled with misrepresentations and false claims, under the headline ‘How the war on climate change slams the world’s poor’.

Dr Lomborg is the world’s most active ‘lukewarmer’. He does not deny the physics of the greenhouse effect, but instead cherry-picks information to deny that the risks of climate change are large enough to justify strong and urgent action.

He has been promoting the article heavily on social media, including Facebook, Linked In and Twitter. In particular, Dr Lomborg highlighted his article with a tweet that states: “A new study has found that strong global climate action would cause far more hunger and food insecurity than climate change itself”.

Cherrypickers love cherrypickers. They don't do so well with science.

Snøhetta has already proven itself adept at green design with projects like the ZEB Pilot House, but this new building is arguably its most sustainable to date. Hailed by the firm as the world's northernmost energy-positive building, Powerhouse Brattørkaia produces more than twice the electricity it requires per day.

Climate change = TAX, TAX AND MORE TAX
Climate change = Poverty
Climate change = More government controls over your lives
Climate change = The biggest hoax on humanity

Yes, the climate has changed. It always changes. But you, you insignificant insects have no hope of re-making it. None We must enjoy the weather as we receive it. Then react to it's change. Put a jacket on, take the jacket off.

Climate change--millions of housing units rendered valueless. Billions of dollars of public infrastructure improvements required. Trillions in profits for big carbon with no money coming back for their impacts.

Bury your head a little further up your ass Bard.

And it's all going to happen so fast, that there is no chance to keep up with it, and people will die in mass.
That notion, which is behind the dire predictions, w/o really admitting it, is why there are so many people who don't buy it.
People adapt, and have been as long as people have inhabited this planet.
The hockey stick graph was discounted long ago by most, but there are still people who are still bitterly clinging onto that hockey stick (AOC et al).
Good luck with that, because YOU'RE RUNNING OUT OF TIME!

Newsweek Opinion Piece Calls for Humanity to Embrace Cannibalism to Fight Climate Change
Jared Piazza and Neil McLatchie want humans to adopt cannibalism in order to lower carbon emissions.
Aug 24, 2019

Two British psychology professors have put forth a shocking proposal in a Newsweek opinion piece published on Tuesday.
Jared Piazza and Neil McLatchie, psychology professors at Lancaster University, have proposed that ordinary people embrace cannibalism in order to provide an alternative to meat consumption that they see as environmentally destructive.
Piazza and McLatchie rationalize their consideration of cannibalism by pointing out that other mammals practice it, including rodents, bears and chimpanzees. It seems to escape the British academics that only a sentient species such as mankind is able to fully experience a sense of repulsion at the idea of eating human flesh.
The academics’ proposal is the latest in a string of think-pieces in corporate establishment media suggesting that ordinary everyday people cease consuming conventional meats, on account of their supposedly destructive impact on the environment.

The most common proposal from meat opponents is to suggest that the masses take up an insect-based diet instead. Major media companies such as the Washington Post regularly publish supposedly “insightful” op-eds suggesting millions of people switch to eating insects, despite a completely negligible desire for such a diet among the general public in most western countries. (A few nations in Asia have some insect-based dishes.)

The liberal oligarch elites envision a world in which the masses are compelled to live in a fashion similar to beasts, through supposedly “environmentally friendly” cannibalism and an insect-based diet.

I may be wrong about this, but I'll put it out there anyway.
The human intellect, in general, has evolved to where we really don't need to eat insects and each other in order for us and our planet to survive.

Obviously Brexit has caused the Brits to lose their minds. The Irish and Scots are not surprised. The Welsh are amused.
