Matty, you said the exact same thing yesterday. I challenge you to create an original thought, and then post it with good grammar. You are wise to divert, and ignore the crux of my post, because there is no defense. Let me help you....Twitter was quite valuable to Trump--he used it brilliantly to dictate to the minions....now, the Republicans are telling Dorsey how to run his company.

Trump is not attempting to silence anyone. He's expressing his opinion which he is 100% entitled to. Brennan is a POS who spews BS and lies all over the airwaves all day long, he is actively part of the resistance movement of a sitting president and should be ashamed of his behavior. He also is the useless asshole who sat back and did nothing while the Russians were playing games with our election. OH wait I'm wrong, he did issue a stand down order, my bad.

If you think it was twitter that got Trump elected, you are one clueless mofo.

No freedom of speech is lost when a security clearance is revoked, in fact, Brennan has even more freedom of speech as a result from it, and you can bet he will take full advantage of it with his continuing lies.
Mr. Happy (Clapper) will be next to have his freedom of speech expanded.

Of course it will become harder to monetize your security clearance with the mainstream networks, being somebody who has had it taken away. But that probably won't stop CNN or MSNBC from paying you to come aboard if Trump bashing becomes your pseudo expertise.

A president is the final authority on classification matters, including what is/isn't classified and who has what clearances.

Does any of you believe that a person who accuses a sitting president of a capital offense, with no evidence, should have access to our nation's military secrets?

The VAST majority of clearances are revoked automatically when the person leaves government office. The only exceptions, still subject to a president's will, are for very limited cases in which that person still formally advises the White House or the Congress in classified matters of national security. Do any of you think Brennan or Clapper should be advising ANYONE on national security matters?

Brennan is now a paid cable news pundit. How on earth does that justify having a security clearance?

Brennan is a known leaker. Do ANY of you think he's trustworthy to have continued access to classified materials, especially now that he gets paid to spill his guts on a network so vehemently opposed to honest reporting and the White House?

A coworker and friend lost not just his clearance but his job and career because he (accidentally, he claims, and only for seconds) encountered a porn site on his office computer. It doesn't take much.

Seemingly, our friends on the right feel that anyone with a security clearance can't be free to offer their opinions publicly in this nation, especially if the current administration may not approve of it.

Does this seem right?

Say what????

Where do you get that impression. Why or how would anyone with "removed security clearance" not be allowed to speak their mind? The exception (with or without) security clearance would be talking about material that is classified/secret.

Iso hit the nail on the head. If fired or retired government officials are no longer needed/wanted for advice, why would anyone want them to continue with security clearance?

This is a really insignificant issue that gets blown out of proportion by the left, as is everything Trump.

Iso could not get anything right,,, now that is the fact...

anyway, these people have contacts and relationships with our allies that can be called on at a seconds notice to get help in critical situations if attacked by say russia or china, or terrorist group that not one person in the trump organization of the government can ever do or be trusted to do.

would you trust anyone in the trump organizations with sensitive source information, I sure the heck wouldn't.

as pointed out trump is damaging our national security in many ways like this.
