One thing I LOVE about windsurfing (and dirt biking and snowmobiling) is that I concentrate so totally on it that nothing else enters my mind, whether it's another insurance battle, the flat motor home tire I'll have to change before I drive home, or my dog that just got run over. If my mind isn't that thoroughly occupied, I'm not sailing hard enough. Pushing the envelope pushes everything else from my mind. |

On days I'm working and can't be there I sing Monkey In A Cage by The Ultrons. (Might be the wrong name for the song, but it's part of the lyrics.) |

I'm in the same camp as Iso. I've never understood where to put a tune in my head when I was on the river. I was so totally concentrating on everything else. But my best windsurf friend was the exact opposite. Like many of you. Funny but he couldn't understand how I couldn't have a good Marley or RATM or anything in my head. Interestingly (or not) I have tunes in my head ALL DAY when I'm just going about my daily biz. |
