Well here we are a few Sundays later with an absolutely CRANKing day on the Lake! I sailed at the Rocks in Plattsburgh again, hopefully you guys all got out there somewhere?
Here are a few pics, but I put up a whole album on the Wind-NC Facebook page. Check 'em out here:

Today (11/21/17) another good Lake Champlain day. Handful of sailors at the Straights (aka Rocky Beach). Unfortunately I couldn't sail but it looked like great late Nov sailing conditions.

Sorry you could not get out to enjoy it. Had a 3 hour solo session down in New London, CT. Temps near 60 with winds 25-35 mph.
It was definitely worth the trip, no gloves and no hoodie. Nice waves out in the sound.

I am trying to get an assessment of the ice coverage on Lake Champlain. I am hoping this warm weather will melt it soon.
From the North Hero Cam it still looks frozen.

I was wondering if anyone knows if there is any liquid yet? Looks windy this Sunday and need to know if Champlain is an option.

Hey there, tons of ice up here all over the place. Bays are frozen over, there is some liquid in the middle of the lake but it would be a long sketchy walk to get out to it. Water is hovering around 33 degrees, too... Rivers are dumping mountain snow melt and ice flows into the lake at the moment...
It is a beautiful sunny 60 degree windy day today, though! Oh well...

The lake has had some real good conditions for sailing with a ice board setup.
Open water would be just above freezing.

Too bad there is no liquid. Winds on Sunday could gust into the 50s...
