I was doing some Googling and was wondering if anyone ever tried launching from the end of Cotchpinicut Road in Chatham. Looks like one could sail through the opening in the barrier island near Allyn Point. Looks like high tide in the morning so could be doable.

You could do that
But way off shore
Lots of current
And plenty of sharks
Other wise perfectly safe

The big issue with out cape like parts of hatteras
When it is big surf and N wind there is a lot if current at the beach.
Not bad once you are off shore. But no waves there.

Of course as soon as I decide that it is flat and no wind. Book a trip to,Peru
And focast goes crazy

Got stuff tomorrow
And Thursday
So likely out

Dreaming of long lefts in pacasmayo on Saturday

My report, parking lot at the designated beach in ri full at 545am, wind was too north anyways. Went on to spot 2 that would be paddle only. Had a great surf, 2 sesh no people one crowded. Wind got strong for a bit, bet that Scarborough would have worked. Eneryone disappointed with the swell expecting more. Shoulder high set waves so i was happy. Jp
