Hi Gang,

As you may have noticed since January 2017 has been an unusual year weather and wind wise. This has been true not just in the Gorge but on the entire west coast and now in the Atlantic.

Eric Blake, a hurricane specialist at the National Hurricane Center says that for the first time in modern history, as you can see in the satellite image below, three hurricanes are lined up to make landfall.

The National Hurricane Center has issued advisories on Hurricane Irma , Hurricane Jose, 700 miles east of the Lesser Antilles, and Hurricane Katia in the Gulf of Mexico.

The Atlantic experienced three simultaneous hurricanes in 2010 but this is the first time that three hurricanes have been this tightly spaced and this close to making landfall about the same time
